    After Maria Doerksen Harms died in Garden City, Kansas in 1927, he married Katie S. Friesen of Jansen, Nebraska. In 1938 he moved to Dallas, Polk, Oregon where he was a member of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethern Church on Miller Ave. Mr. Isaac Harms was a farmer in Nebraska and also loved working with machines and wood. He worked as a carpenter in Oregon. He and his son Peter D. Harms converted the two room house Pete bought in Dallas to a 10 room 2 story house. Isaac played the auto harp, his son Pete the guitar, and he and sons would sing gospel songs. Mr. Isaac H. Harms was fluent in 2 languages, English, Plaut Dietsch (Friesland Holland Dutch) and High German.
