History According to a "Pioneer Portraits" published in "The Echo", in the Falk family register it reads: Our great, great grandfather Falk walked from Holland to Germany and from there to Russia. To cover the distance by foot from Germany to his destination in Russia took him two years. Then, when the Mennonites migrated from southern Russia to Manitoba, he was among the pioneers. Apparently this must be his father David Falk, but records say he died in Schoenweise, Chortitza, date unknown.
