    History Buhler MB Gemeindebuch, p. 897. The Escondido church records and the Hoffnungsau church book give his birth date as 10 Oct 1834. The Corn MB church book gives his birth date as 11 Oct 1834. One source says he came from Waldheim. The Escondido records say he was born on the journey from Poland to Russia.
