    History His upcoming marriage to Katharina Warkentin was announced in the Ellerwald Mennonite Church on 17 Jul 1803. He and his wife Katharina Warkentin were excommunicated from the Ellerwald Mennonite Church on 5 Feb 1804. On 19 Feb 1804 they were re-admitted. He migrated from Ellerwald, Prussia to Russia in 1804 (P. Rempel, p. 83; B.H. Unruh, p. 277). In the 1808 Chortitza Colony Census he is listed in Burwalde among the landless (B.H. Unruh, p. 277). He is not listed in the Oct 1816 Chortitza Colony Census. He was living in Schoenhorst at the time of his death per the Jacob Wall diary.
