    History He was residing in Friedensruh where he was a teacher in 1862 per the 1862 Molotschna School Registers. He reportedly taught there for 2 years per Darlene Erho. Mountain Lake 1878 p. 2: baptized by Dietrich Warkentin. The Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Records on p. 110 say that he was born 4 Aug 1827, but this is inconsistent with the Mountain Lake records and family records as well as his age (6 years) as given in the 1835 Census. Married to Anna Baerg by Heinrich Neufeld. Birthplace comes from here also. Lived on sec. 20 Carson Township, Cottonwood Co. Called as preacher in 1878. Married to the 2nd Anna Berg by Johann Wiens. Married to Justina Janzen by David Schroeder. A family record says he was born 23 July 1828 (old style) at Gnadenheim, Molotschna. He is buried in an unmarked grave in the Carson Cemetery in Hepburn.
