    History In the 1835 Molotschna Census entry for Fuerstenwerder #32, it is said that he moved to the Chortitza Colony in 1843. He later moved to Oregon. Plett writes: 'Unger settled in Heuboden, apparently the first village to be settled. ... According to the 1881 Assessment records, David Unger lived in Heuboden, E. R. (East Reserve, Manitoba). He had filed for a homestead on NE1-7-4E on August 27, 1874, and son David Unger Jr. filed on the adjoining NW1-7-4E, on September 25, 1877.' Plett writes: 'According to the "Genealogy Register" of Aeltester Peter Toews, David Unger (1830-1906) lived in Nikolaithal, Imperial Russia: Profiles 1874, page 25.' Plett gives the date of death as Feb 13, 1906.
