    History In the 1772 West Prussia Land Census he is listed in Schoensee. In the 1776 West Prussia Census he is certainly the unnamed Casper listed in Schoensee with a wife and one son (H. Penner, p. 441). According to the 1789 census of Mennonite landowners in West Prussia he lived in Schoensee and owned 2 Hufen and 15 Morgen of land. He was still living there in 1793 when his daughter Maria was baptized but appears to have died by 1797 when his sons Peter and Cornelius were baptized since they are referred to as his surviving sons.
