    History He migrated to Manitoba, but almost immediately moved to Kansas in 1875. One record states that his second marriage occurred on 23 Nov 1854. He was the son of Martin Klassen, born 1771 in Tiegenhagen, Prussia, and his wife Agatha Harder. See Plett, Profile, p. 71 for further information. Could this be the Martin Klassen, residing in Lichtfelde, but registered at Fuerstenau, who was one of the eighteen founders of the Mennonite Brethren Church? The 1835 census says a Widow Elizabeth Klassen moved to Fuerstenau in 1843 with 2 sons!
