    History Henry Sencabaugh (1807 - 1871) was the eighth child and seventh son of William Sencabaugh, the Loyalist, and his wife Ruhamah Hugh or Hughes. In 1832, Henry married Margaret Brehaut (1808 - 1881), a daughter of Henry Matthew Brehaut and Elizabeth Pullem, who had emigrated from Guernsey in 1806.

      Know all men by these presents that I Henry Sencabaugh White Sands Road Lot or Township number Sixty four (64) being weakly in body but of perfect mind and memory; thanks be given unto God; calling to mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed unto all men once to die; do make and ordain this my last will and testament, And first of all I recommend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God who gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executor, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God, And as touching such worldly Estate where with it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.
      And First I give and bequeath unto my beloved Daughter Jane all my Estate or property now in my possession together with all and singular the messuages, tenements, Goods and Chattles on the aforesaid premises, Provided nevertheless she shall be under an obligation to maintain my beloved wife Margaret in a decent and comfortable manner during the term of her natural life, providing for and paying all incidental expenses connected with affliction and disease, and also to pay unto each of my beloved Daughters Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Charlotte, Ruhamah, Margaret, and Sarah the sum of five pounds Currency, commencing the first payment unto my Daughter Elizabeth at the expiration of one year, after my demise, and each other at the termination of an interval of one year till the whole is paid.
      And for the due performance of this my last will and Testament I appoint and ordain my beloved Brother James Sencabaugh Executor of the same and I hereby confirm and ratify this and no other to be my last Will and Testament, In Witness whereof thereunto I set my hand and Seal this 20th Day of April 1870.

      The foregoing will having been presented for Probate James Sencabaugh of Lot 64 in said Island Farmer one of the subscribing witnesses thereto made Oath that he was present a did see the Testator Henry Sencabaugh sign his name and affix his seal thereto and heard him pubis and declare the same as and for this last will and Testament that when Testator so did he was of sound disposing mind and memory according to this deponent best discerning.
      That he subscribed his name as a witness thereto in the presence of Testator and that John Brooks subscribed his name as a witness thereto at the same time.
