The Peter Wohlgemuth Family Record beginning in 1805 in Russia as kept by Peter Wohlgemuth, himself. Peter Wohlgemuth was born in Parscke on March 17, 1805. He married Catarina Ewert, daughter of Jacob Ewert from Montau on May 27, 1838 in the Montau school. They had 6 children. During the marriage, they sold their farm in 1841 at Grosz Sarskan and moved to Poland in 1842 arriving in Wolle on the 9th of May. (It appears that 4 of the 6 children were born in Poland).

Peter Wohlgemuth married a second time to Elizabeth Baltzer, daughter of Franz Baltzer of Casnawa. They were married July 17, 1856, in Kasjanerschool. (It appears that 6 children were born from this union, one being Elisabeth Wohlgemuth who married Jacob Klassen, mother of Agnes Klassen, who married Friesen, then John C. Unruh).

Peter Wohlgemuth died in Dec 6, 1873. Two of his younger brothers migrated to the United States before he died. They settled in Pennsylvania. His second wife, Elizabeth Baltzer and some of the younger children emigrated to the United States in the summer of 1874. They took the steamship City of Brooklyn, from England. She later married Rev. John Flaming.

Rev. John A. Flaming came on the same ship to the United States. He had a family of 6 children . The youngest daughter was the first child born of Mennonite parentage between Marion and Peabody, Kansas. Her mother passed away eight months later. After Mrs. Flaming died, Rev. Flaming married Elizabeth Baltzer Wohlgemuth. Two children were born to this union. One passed away and the other child was Agnes (Mrs. Peter R. ) Jost.

Some of the above info was gathered by the John Wohlgemuth family.
