    History He has not been located in the 1801 Chortitza Colony Census. In the 1802 Chortitza Colony Census he is listed at Schoenhorst #25. In 1803 he is listed at Schoenhorst #22 (B.H. Unruh, p. 215). It appears that in 1805 his property was handed over to a guardian/custodian (Vormund) which was Jacob Franzen (Odessa Archives, Fund 6, Inventory 1, files 124 and 201). In 1809 he was residing in Schoenhorst per the 1809 Chortitza Colony Vaccination Lists. In the Oct 1816 Census he is listed in Neuendorf among the landless.
