  History	Obituary - The Grand Rapids Press, September 22, 1979, Page 8B: ALLEN - Charles M. Allen, aged 37, of Coopersville, passed away Thursday afternoon in the Veterans Hospital in Ann Arbor. Surviving are one son, Andy; and a daughter, Lisa both of Coopersville; his mother, Mrs. Harold (Ethel) Allen of Coopersville; one sister, Mrs. Troy (Barbara) Lemmons of Ironwood; two brothers, Larry of Marne, and Louis of Allendale; a friend, Shirley LaBeau of Belleville. Mr. Allen will repose at the Throop Funeral Home, Coopersville, where funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, Lamont, under auspices of the Coopersville V.F.W. Post No. 5598. Visitation hours 7 to 9 Sunday. For a more lasting memorial, friends and relatives are asked to remember Coopersville V.F.W. Post, of which he was a member. SSDI states card issued in Michigan in 1959-60.
