    History One source gives her birth date as 28 Mar 1874, which is likely in error. Hoffnungsau I p. 44 gives a birth date of 3 Feb. The Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church Records on p. 14 say she was born 23 Feb 1873. Hoffnungsau I p. 386: baptized by Dietrich Gaeddert. She was adopted by her uncle and aunt Heinrich Kroeker and Anna (Janzen) Kroeker after her mother died.
