A native of Waterford, Wisconsin, Shirley was a daughter of the late William J. and Clara Louise Duerrwaechter Allen. Surviving are her husband, Harry Lee Long Jr., of the home; her daughter, Sara L. Plemmons and husband, J.R., of Leicester, North Carolina; two brothers, Don Allen of Missoula, Montana, and Jim Allen of Waterford; two sisters, Betty Chojnaski of Medford, Wisconsin, and Pat Allen of Ashland, Wisconsin; and two grandchildren, Master Nathan Allen Plemmons and Miss Jennifer Lynn Plemmons. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Grandview Memorial Park - South Cherry Road in Rock Hill, with the Rev. Tony Caruso officiating.
