    History Her new style birth date was Jan 14, 1875. Her obituary says she was born 12 Jan 1875. The Carson records say his second marriage occurred on 20 Jan. The obituary of her son Abram, calls her Marie Flaming. Maria Dick was born Maria Klassen, daughter of Abraham G Klassen and Elizabeth Voth, one of six children. Her father, Abraham Klassen, died in 1880 when she was about 5 years old. Elizabeth Voth Klassen then remarried a man by the name of Heinrich A Flaming. They had 5 children together. Some of the Klassen children took on the name or were referred to as Flaming.
