  History	C-A223 Another source has birth date as 13 Oct 1844. The last name was spelled Ens at the time, which was later changed to Enns. On 11 Aug 1877 they homesteaded on the southeast quarter of Section 31 Township 5 Range 5, East of the first Meridian. The land was very stony and unfit for grain farming. In 1882 he cancelled his insurance on his property, and moved to the New Reinland area where he purchased 80 acres near Greenfarm. Mr. Enns walked to the Winkler area many a time. Madelin (Rommel) Ulrich's (b. 27 Dec 1941) material says he married Maria Esau on 15 Nov 1865.
