  History	John and Helen were second cousins. SSDI states card issued in Kansas before 1951. Obituary - Helen Isaac - Sept. 22, 1911 – Jan. 17, 2010 Dallas - Helen Isaac, 98, of Dallas, peacefully went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, in the morning hours of January 17, 2010. She was born on September, 22, 1911 in Meade, Kansas, to Peter and Sara (Friesen) Rempel. She married John Isaac on March 17, 1932 in Meade, Kansas. This marriage was blessed with 5 sons. The family moved to Monmouth, Oregon in 1944 and lived there a few years before settling in Dallas in 1953. Helen was an active part of the Mennonite community and leaves a legacy of faith for her children. She was a determined and hard working person whose humor was also a delight to be around. Helen was known for her cooking abilities. She cooked for many church events and several community organizations and functions. Her most enjoyable pastime was quilting. She leaves several quilts for her family to cherish for years to come. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband and numerous siblings. She is survived by her sons, Vern (Ruby) of Dayton, Oregon, Al of Pocatello, Idaho, Bob (Betty) of Albany, Oregon, Ron (Sharon) of Gresham, Oregon, and Jerry (Doris) of Dallas, Oregon. She is survived by her last remaining sibling, Katherine Classen. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday Jan. 22, 2010 at Evangelical Bible Church in Dallas. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wycliffe Bible Translators and marked for Grace Thiessen, in care of Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center, who is handling the arrangements.
