She was born to Nick and Lillian (Quiring) Goertzen in Dallas, Oregon. She came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior early in life and He would be the guiding influence throughout her life. A love of music was instilled in her at an early age and she taught piano and played piano and coordinated worship for her church for many, many years. She attended Salem Academy and graduated in 1960. She married Ron Isaac on June 16th 1961. She was a kindergarten teacher at Pleasant Home Baptist Church and 1st grade teacher at Good Shepherd School. She was preceded in death by her brother Dick and sister Donna. She is survived by her husband Ron Isaac, daughter Shelly (Ken) Friday, son Jason (Holly) Isaac and son Jonathon (Barb) Isaac, 9 grandchildren and 1 and 8/9th great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ron (Joan) Goertzen and Terri (Garry) Kargel. She is also survived by numerous people whom she loved and was loved by enough to also call her Mom. She touched many lives in so many loving ways. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Pleasant Home Community Church, 32210 S.E. Dodge Park Blvd., Gresham. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to: Pleasant Home Community Church. Please indicate "prefer Kenya Orphanage”.
