Susie Friesen died on Sat., June 14, in Dallas. She was born on June 10, 1910 in Mt. Lake, Minnesota, the daughter of John J. and Maria Heppner Friesen. When she was three years old, they moved to Chinook, Montana for a number of years. In 1920 she moved to Dallas, Oregon with her parents. She met her husband Ben H. Friesen at the EMB Church in Dallas. They were married on June 24, 1928 in Dallas. Susie accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized in the EMB Church. She had been a long time member of the Evangelical Bible Church in Dallas. She loved to pray for all missionaries. She enjoyed playing her piano. She played for the men's group and the Gospel Team. They went to various churches and the Union Gospel Mission to sing. She loved to worship with God's people on the Lord's Day. Susie was a homemaker, worked in the hop fields, did cannery work and also did house cleaning for others. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben H. Friesen on March 20, 1976.
She is survived by her sons, John L. and Roy Friesen; daughter, Mary Ann Fahey all of Dallas, along with 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be on Friday, June 20 at 11 a.m. at Evangelical Bible Church in Dallas. Interment will be in Dallas Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to EBC Church Missions, New Tribes Missionaries Dan and Judy Burke and Joan Friesen in care of Dallas Mortuary Chapel who is in charge of arrangements. |
